Thinking of Investing in a Homecare Franchise in 2020? Why Not Choose 2019's Best!

When you’re buying a homecare franchise, you should conduct your own research to move forward with confidence.

Before jumping in, ask the following questions:

  • Does the homecare franchise offer the training you’ll need?

  • What are the recurring fees?

  • What kind of ongoing support is available?

  • Is the company financially strong?

  • How are marketing costs structured? What digital and print collateral are included in the franchise fees? Which ones cost extra?

  • How is your territory protected?

  • What kind of profit is typical in the first, second, and third years?

Until you are a franchise insider, you can’t fully understand the inner workings of an organization. You can, however, if an independent survey of actual franchise owners delivers the data you need to make an informed decision.

The best way to understand which homecare franchise is right for you is to hear it straight from a non-biased source. An organization like Franchise Business Review does just that; they give a voice to franchisees.

We’re the Best Homecare Franchise

In Franchise Business Review’s 2019 Top Franchises Report, Visiting Angels® was awarded “Best-in-Category Franchisee Satisfaction within the Senior Home Care Category.

Franchise Business Review (FBR) is a leading market research firm that provides invaluable insight into today’s homecare franchisees.

FBR performs independent satisfaction surveys of current franchise owners across the industry and gives investors the information they need about franchisee satisfaction and overall franchise performance.

According to the FBR website, “We bring transparency to the franchise industry by offering the leading forum for franchisees to rate their brand and empowering prospective franchisees with satisfaction research in our special franchise buyer's guides and via informative pieces.”

Approximately 30,000 franchise owners (representing 334 franchise brands) participated in the most recent survey.

The thorough examination included 33 benchmark questions in areas including financial opportunity, training and support, leadership, operations and product development, core values, general satisfaction, and the franchisee community.

An additional set of 16 questions delved into the local and regional aspects about the franchisee’s specific market area including questions about demographics as well as the gratification they feel about running their franchise.

Top Franchises

According to FBR’s CEO, Eric Stites, “Franchises that survey their franchisees realize that transparency and openness contribute to a trusting relationship. Franchisee satisfaction ratings show you whether or not a franchise opportunity is really as good as it appears and fits your values and vision by providing insight into a system’s culture, training, leadership, financial outlook, franchisee community, and much more.”

Out of nine high-level categories, Visiting Angels received an overall score of “very good” or “excellent” in every category. Our homecare franchise achieved top marks for core organizational values, franchisee community, self-evaluated performance of our franchisees, and franchisee’s general satisfaction.

Additionally, Visiting Angels was included on the overall list of Top Franchises.

Across all franchise sectors, we were named the fifth-best franchise opportunity. Because we just celebrated our 10th year in a row as a Top Franchise, we were eligible for a place in FBR’s exclusive Franchise Hall of Fame, which honors franchises that show a consistent, long-term “dedication to listening to and doing right by their franchisees.”

Larry Meigs, our CEO,  often states, “Providing our franchisees with the best support, training and continuing guidance has always been our number one goal.”

Our franchisees agree!
